Education and Childcare

Lincoln has an excellent education system that includes both public and private providers and is a great place to raise a family. The city also boasts numerous attractions and activities the entire family can enjoy.

Childcare within the community is widely available and affordable. Additionally, UNL's new Child Care Center will open in August 2009, providing full-time care to children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age, year-round. During the summer, one classroom is planned for school-aged children, 5-8 years of age. The UNL Children's Center will provide care for children of students, staff, faculty, and alumni. There is currently a waiting list, from which childcare will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
